PaudurHill (Khare) Raptor Migration Update 18 Oct – Day 33

We had a pleasant weather today with mostly sunny and south breeze of average 5 km/hr speed. The cumulous clouds build up over the Himalayas after 11 am and remains covered whole day. The sun is still warmer here during the day time. Today we get first adult Steppe Eagle. The Steppe Eagle migration will be pick up very soon (hope last week of Oct and First week of November will be best) however they will be continued till December. The dominant migrants of the day were Common (Himalayan) buzzard. Eurasian (Northern) Hobby were seen mostly hanging around and picking up the insects on air. The Booted Eagles were also circling all the time. Today most of the birds were coming overhead and it was easy to spot however few birds- Vultures, Black Eagle, Mountain Hawk Eagles were seen towards the northern side. Red-rumped Shallows and Dragonflies migration is going down.
