PaudurHill (Nepal) Raptor Migration Update 22 Sept – Day 7

Today the weather is not so different from yesterday. Local clouds build up after 10:00 and all the mountain peaks were covered. Mostly Dhampus ridge was totally inside the thick cloud where we have another lookout. Passarine migration was also slow today. In the morning few Barn Swallows and House Swifts were migrating but not much as yesterday. Total of Five species of vultures (Bearded, Slender-billed, White-rumped, Red-headed and Egyptian) were seen in the watchsite. We experienced the first migration flight of Egyptian Vulture.  Total of 4 local Black Kites (2 adults and 2 first year bird) were seen all the time. One local Bonelli’s Eagle was perched over the tree close to the watchsite.
