Raptors are the top predators and provide important ecosystem services. Despite their importance, over 50% of raptors in Nepal are either threatened or near-threatened. Nepal Raptor Conservation Project is led by Dr Tulsi Subedi and his team for the research and conservation of threatened, declining and least-known raptors as a goal to develop capacity for raptor conservation and to reverse the population decline of raptors in Nepal and the entire Himalayas region.
Is it not possible for birders to visit Thoolakharka Raptor migration site during poeak migration to watch raptors? Many Indian birders would be interested.
ReplyDeleteOf Course, it is possible to visit the place during peak migration time. November is the good time to be there.
